**The ARTisan Cover Competition**

To celebrate the release of The Artisan Magazine vol. 2 those here on staff want to honor one of the community’s artists by having another cover competition.

Rules of Entry:

1. Participants **MUST** post their entries here in this thread

and agree to release their entry for professional use as the issue cover on The Artisan magazine vol. 2.

2. The entry should just be an image that will be used for the cover of the magazine. Second Life images ONLY please and ONE Entry per person. The words and captions needed on the cover will be done by an Artisan staff member and will ensure that the font is suited to the theme of the piece.

3. Image will be sourced from the original size in the Flickr posting and will be resized if needed.

4. This is YOUR shot and YOUR magazine cover. This edition is a THEMED EVENT.  The theme for this editions cover must be in the tradition of Halloween or anything associated with.  This simply means that we are looking for an eerie, creepy, gory, gothic, dark, evil, etc. themed cover.  If that means a scene or an avatar look then so be it. Make it original…Make it fun…Make it just WOW! 

Each of the staff members will choose from the pool of entries submitted and choose one piece they enjoy the most. Out of these chosen pieces a vote will be taken amongst the staff and one winner will be chosen.

There is only *ONE* grand prize:

~~25000 Lindens as well as a exclusive interview to appear in the second issue of The Artisan.~~

**SHOW US THE CANDIDS!!!!!!!!!**

Again we are attempting to collect your candids for our magazine section called “Across The Grid.”  We want to get a full perspective of everyones lives on Second Life and how everybody used their time while in this wild universe.  These do not need to be post-processed or anything like that but simply candids taken while in Second Life.  You can get these to the editor in several ways:

**Cover Competition**

Yes folks thats right we will be conducting another Cover Contest via Flickr for a whopping 25k.  Expect this contest to begin September 1st and concluding on October 1st, 2008.  Theme will be Halloween.  If you want to get a jump on this now by all means feel free but no entries will be accepted until the first of September.  Oh and a little detail.  **THIS PIECE MUST BE ALL NEW**  Happy Photoshopping!
